My thirtieth birthday celebrations
My thirtieth birthday celebrations started on Friday when
my friends Bezz and Sophie came down to visit.
I cooked on Friday night, then after a day's window shopping
round Brighton on Saturday we went to the Setting
Sun pub for Mexican food.
My friend from University, Doug, came down from Hereford
with his partner Emma! Great to see him again. Doug runs a
great design company up in Hereford called As
You Design.
Then down to Stick
It On where me and Simon DJd. Whenever I've played there
before I get picked to play second which is annoying cause
the crowd aren't really going by then. But this time I played
second but last which was great. I got the biggest cheer apparently!
What a great night it was! Stick It On is just great. It's
such a good, unpretentious atmosphere. Best of all was the
last DJ playing the last tune of the night - the
theme from Minder. Bezz was still singing "I could
be so good for you" the day after!
Big thanks to everyone who came out! Still got my actual
birthday day party to come - the top room in Krakatoa. Hooray
- come on you thirties!
