The Big Chill 04

Ahh! I'm totally overwhelmed by the events of the weekend! It could not have been better. I just didn't want to leave.

Sun and smiles all weekend long. What an amazing festival! The Malvern Hills where it's held are just beautiful. You could see water running by when you were watching the main stage, which I found quite surreal.

It was such a difference from Glastonbury. I enjoyed Glastonbury, but it was hard work and it's very much every man for himself. The Big Chill is so much more relaxing and friendly and chilled and... oh! I want to go back!

Highlights of the festival were DJ Derek, playing the coolest sounds ever on Saturday afternoon; The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, who drew a huge crowd in and who, once again, made me cry with laughter; Coldcut doing their video scratching; Easy Star All Stars doing Dub Side of the Moon and finally DJ Yoda playing over the top of Ferris Bueler's Day Off - what a fantastic idea! Bumped into Bezz and Sophie a few times too - nice to see you, kids!

But the best bit of the whole weekend was meeting and spending time with the gorgeous Genna, Bees n Things's number one fan and all round wonder! I'll beat you at Scrabble next time!

Who would have thought that one weekend could change so much.

Manic!

Me with the lovely Genna. Watching DJ Derek - the man!
