Look-a-like

When I was going out to raves someone started calling me Lurch. I hated him for it, the piss-taking bastard. Until I actually saw an old episode of The Addams Family! The likeness, not just in height and facial expression, but also in personality is scary, even to me!

The butler doesn't get much of a look in in the series apart from the old "You Rang?" and "Yes Mrs Addams" lines (which I used to recite to all my mates to much laughter). But in one episode, Lurch takes centre stage as he falls in love with a visitor. The likeness to me then is really close. Lurch mumbles and stutters and runs away whenever his beloved is near! Then when she finally falls in love with him (after taking a love potion from Ma Addams) she says: "Lurch, where have you been all my life?!" and he replies, in his dulcet tones: "In the kitchen".
