Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
Oh fantastic! I saw this band after being recommended them
by Genna.
It was such a good night! The band were just hilarious. Everyone
in the bar was just wetting themselves.
They play all kinds of songs, all on the ukulele, all in
a tongue-in-cheek kind of way, all played totally dead-pan!
I haven't enjoyed myself that much in ages.
They do a version of Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights', which
Kate Bush won't let them play, but that they play anyway,
which just brought the house down. You have to hear it to
believe it! I was, literally, in tears!
They got three standing ovations at the end and came back
on stage twice to do encores! Everyone loved them!
And they're playing at the Big
Chill in two weeks time!
