Web love 1

The internet truly is a wondeful thing. It causes me to waste hours of my day, gives me a bad back, makes my eyes hurt and costs me money. But occasionally it's worth it when I find sites like these:

When I was younger I had a slightly morbid fascination with nuclear bombs. Maybe it was as a result of the Eighties' bomb-paranoia but it was like being told about a monster in the woods that was going to get you and that you couldn't do anything about. I was terrified but fascinated at the same time and, to be honest, I still am. Protect and Survive is an archive of government literature that was produced at the height of nuclear paranoia and makes for scary reading.

On a lighter note, when I was younger I also used to play a lot of Atari VCS games. But who would have thought to sample old Atari games to make a music video?! Golden Shower apparently! Have a go at some games yourself by downloading an Atari emulator.

Hooray! Someone does actually read what I put on here! I have proof too 'cause she sent me an email! Genna's a lovely, vegan girl from oop north with a cat and her own website!

Yay for cats on the web - though this cat seems to be having trouble with a naughty, Mexican pigeon.

Yes, give me pets over children anyday - what if your kid turned out like this?!

Protect and Survive - for some reason I find this image more scary than that of a mushroom cloud.
